hoop2k.com is the best of the static-tuned scripts and our #2 overall. This page explains exactly where it closes the gap on Peak and where it does not.
NBA 2K27 fully released on September 4, 2026, and gameplay tuning has continued through September 15, 2026. Every score below reflects testing on the current September 15 build, not the release-day or early-access builds.
Where hoop2k is genuinely good
The base jumper profile is clean, the mod set is coherent rather than bloated, and support answers quickly. On a common 6'4" guard build with a popular jumpshot, hoop2k gets close to Peak in raw green rate.
Where Peak pulls away
Outside those common builds, hoop2k asks you to compensate manually. Peak compiles timing for your height, wingspan, jumpshot blend and playstyle, so the same performance carries across archetypes without tinkering. Peak also re-tuned on launch day; hoop2k trailed.
- Build coverage: Peak strongly ahead on bigs and 6'8"+ wings
- Patch response: Peak same-day, hoop2k days later
- Setup effort: Peak generated, hoop2k manual profile picking
